Viva96

Every round of baccarat online viva96.com style comes down to one question: which of two hands will finish closer to nine? The two hands are called Player and Banker. Despite the names, you are not playing against the dealer with your own cards. Both hands are dealt by the table, and you simply back the one you think will win.

There are three bets on the layout:

• Player – you win if the Player hand ends with the higher total.
• Banker – you win if the Banker hand ends with the higher total. Because of the drawing rules, Banker wins slightly more often than Player, so tables usually take a small commission on this bet. The exact rate is shown in the rules of each table.
• Tie – you win if both hands finish level. It pays far more than the other two, but it lands much less often.

Many players stick to Banker or Player and treat Tie as an occasional extra. Among the three, the Banker bet carries the lowest house edge over the long run, which is why it is the most popular choice at baccarat tables around the world.

You set your stake before the cards come out, and after that there is nothing more to decide. That simplicity is a big part of the appeal: the game moves fast, and the result is clear the moment the last card turns.

The card values at Viva96 Casino tables follow the standard rules:

Only the last digit of a total counts. A 7 and an 8 make 15, so the hand is worth 5. A King and a 9 make 9, the best possible total.

A hand runs in a fixed order:

1. Two cards are dealt to Player and two to Banker.
2. If either hand totals 8 or 9, that is a "natural", and the round ends at once.
3. Otherwise, Player draws a third card on a total of 0 to 5 and stands on 6 or 7.
4. Banker then follows its own drawing rules, which depend on its total and on Player's third card.
5. The hand closer to nine wins; equal totals are a tie.

You never have to remember the third-card rules yourself, because the dealer applies them automatically. Knowing them simply helps you follow the action on screen.

Here is a quick example. Player is dealt a 4 and a 2, a total of 6, so Player stands. Banker holds a Queen and a 3, a total of 3, and draws a third card: a 5. Banker now has 8 and wins the hand, so Banker bets are paid and Player bets lose.

Baccarat is only one part of casino Viva96. The lobby also holds pokies, from simple three-reel games to modern video slots with free spin rounds, and table games such as roulette and blackjack.

Live games bring a real dealer to your screen, streamed in real time, so you can watch the cards come out of the shoe or the ball drop on the wheel. Many players switch between a few hands of live baccarat and a session on the pokies, and both sit in the same account with the same balance.

We run promotions for new and regular players. Each offer comes with its own terms, set out next to it on the promotions page, including any wagering and the games that count towards it.

Before you claim anything, check how baccarat is treated. At Viva 96 Casino, as at most online casinos, table games may count towards wagering at a different rate from pokies, so the terms tell you which games suit each offer.

Viva96 Australia accounts run in AUD, so deposits, balances and withdrawals all show in local dollars, with no conversion to keep track of. The cashier lists the payment methods available to your account, together with their limits, and you can choose the one that suits you.

Keep your account details up to date, and contact live chat if a payment needs attention.

Viva96 Casino works in the browser of your phone or tablet, so there is nothing to install. Baccarat, live games and pokies open from the same lobby as on a computer, with the same account and balance.
